Finding the best CBD Tincture

As you may know, the internet is buzzing right now with the “next best” CBD oil. Some wild claims are being made such as curing everything from anxiety, pain, inflammation, high blood pressure, mood disorders, and much more.

More research still needs to be done to reach any conclusions, but many acknowledge that CBD may be able to help support in a variety of ways. The question I get asked the most is this: “How do I know which CBD product is right for me?”

This is a great question because it is difficult right now to cut through the noise and determine what we are buying.

Based on the research, there is a wide variance between high quality CBD products and most of what you see popping up on the internet. Small startups bottling CBD oil in their basement, putting a fancy sticker on the bottle, and marketing it like the next “miracle” supplement.

It is important to take your time and understand the quality of the CBD oil product you are looking at and if the brand can be trusted.

This post will offer some ideas on how to cut through the noise and find the right product to meet your needs. The information below has not been reviewed by the FDA and this product is not intended to cure, treat, or prevent any diseases.

What to look for in a quality CBD Hemp Oil Product?

The most logical place to start when evaluating products is this: “ What do I look for in a quality CBD hemp oil product?“
Take a look at some of the important points below.
Organic: This is one of the most critical things to look for when evaluating a CBD oil product. The hemp plant naturally absorbs elements around it, so if there are contaminants in the environment where it is grown, it can be likely that the plant can become contaminated as well. Hemp is often grown in areas with oil contamination because it will absorb the oil when it grows and cleans the soil. You wouldn’t want to consume hemp oil filled with contaminants. To be Organic, the grower must adhere to strict rules to ensure that the product is safe and free of many harmful contaminants. This is great for the consumer because you can have confidence that what you are buying is safe.
Full Spectrum: This is important because hemp is rich in many other essential vitamins and minerals besides just cannabidiol (CBD), which can be the most prominent. These include cannabinoids, terpenes, fatty acids, flavonoids, vitamins, and minerals. When utilizing all of these compounds in their natural state, they work together in a synergy called the “entourage effect.” When you see the term CBD Isolate, it means that just the CBD oil is extracted and would not have the the added nutrients of a full spectrum product.
CO2 Extraction: By pushing C02 through the hemp plant at high pressures and low temperatures, CBD can be extracted in its purest form. This process is often thought of as the best and safest as it cleanly extracts CBD, removing substance like chlorophyll and leaving no residue. CBD oil extracted in this way has a cleaner taste, but it is a more expensive method than alternatives.
Lab Tested: It is important to make sure a product is lab tested to verify its quality and THC level. Some products are advertised as 0.0% THC only to find out that they may contain higher levels of THC due to a gap in their manufacturing process. If you are unsure about the test results it would be a good idea to ask the vendor or move on to another product. There are plenty of vendors in this space that publish their results and produce a quality CBD Oil that you can trust.

Water Soluble CBD

When looking at many of the different CBD Hemp Oils on the market, it is important to remember that CBD oil does not mix well with water.

The human body is composed of over 60% water which makes oil based supplements very difficult to absorb. Some studies show that oils are absorbed at less that 10%.

This is important to think about when you are purchasing a CBD hemp oil product. If it is oil based, you may only be able to absorb the benefits of 1 out of every 10 drops or have to take 10x the amount to get the same result. Think about the money wasted on a product that doesn’t absorb.

For this reason I would recommend a product that is water soluble like our top selling product, UltraCell Full Spectrum CBD Oil (lemon flavor).

There are several water soluble products on the market that absorb at up to 94% and have a bioavailability of greater than 12 hours. This means that more CBD oil is able to work in your body for a longer period of time, giving you the most benefit per dose.

Bioavailability of superior CBD Oil

How long does it take for CBD Oil to work?

This is a good question and the answer is it can vary, but in most cases you will be able to feel some benefits of CBD within a few minutes to a few hours.

Sometimes it can take up to 4 weeks or more to see the full benefit depending on a variety of factors. A water soluble CBD oil is best absorbed by CBD tincture. To take a dose, you will fill up the liquid dropper with CBD oil and apply the recommend dose (usually between 10-20 drops per day) under your tongue.

It is important to hold the product under your tongue for at least 30 sec to 1 minute in order for the product to absorb into your body. After about 1 minute go ahead and swallow the remaining amount and it will continue to absorb through the digestive system.

A water soluble formula will absorb very quickly and become bio available at a much higher rate than standard CBD Oil. The CBD tincture allows the product to be administered orally, where it is very vascular and readily able to absorb.
